The school holiday activities continue at the library on Friday with some sand-filled fun

Cards, big foot birds and now it's time to sink into some sand.

It's all part of the Whyalla Public Library's school holiday activities

sandKids made professional greeting cards on Tuesday (see pictures below). On Thursday they got to see some preserved malleefowls (and a fox) while learning about the native bird and its habitat.

The fun continues on Friday, October 6 with "Get Colourful with Sand".

Kids will have buckets of sand-fill fun as they create sand-filled teddies and sticky sand pictures with many colours to choose from.

This are two sessions of "Get Colourful with Sand" at 10.30am and 2pm and it is suitable for kids between 5 and 10 years.

The sessions are free but all participants must be accompanied by a caregiver.

It is also important to remember that bookings are essential for the library activities.

They can be made by phoning the library on 8645 7891.
